UNDERGRADUATE UNIVERSITY STUDY PROGRAM IN BIOLOGY
Conditions for admission to the Undergraduate University Study Program in Biology are completed 4-year secondary vocational or grammar school and successfully passed State Matura Exam in obligatory subjects and in elective subject of Biology:

Grades achieved during secondary school education are calculated towards 30% of the total points. Students who have won 1st, 2nd or 3rd place at county and state competitions in biology, chemistry or physics during their secondary school education are eligible for direct admission to the study.
The Undergraduate University Study Program in Biology lasts for 6 semesters (3 years) and comprises a total of 180 ECTS credits. Upon completion, students are awarded the academic degree of University Bachelor of Biology.
After graduation, bachelors of biology can work as laboratory technicians, as guards in nature parks, they can also perform various jobs in natural history museums, botanical gardens and similar institutions, or they can continue their higher education at graduate level.

Graduate University Study Program in Biology
Condition for admission to the Graduate University Study Program in Biology is completed undergraduate study in the field of biology. The study program lasts for 4 semesters (2 years), and upon completion, students are awarded the academic degree of Master of Science in Biology.
Referring to their knowledge and skills acquired during their studies, masters of biology are competent to work as managers of nature parks and national parks, of fish farms, botanical gardens and zoos, biological-analytical laboratories, etc. They are trained to perform tasks in various scientific institutions and in pharmaceutical, food, chemical or wood industries, as well as in other sectors that require knowledge in biology (e.g. inspection services dealing with environment protection). Moreover, masters of biology are trained to work in scientific and professional teams engaged in research in the field of natural, biotechnical and biomedical sciences.
Graduate University Study Program in Biology and Chemistry Education
Conditions for admission to the Graduate University Study Program in Biology and Chemistry Education is completed undergraduate study in the field of biology with the elective module in chemistry. The study lasts for 4 semesters (2 years), and upon completion, students are awarded the academic degree of Master of Biology and Chemistry Education.
Graduate University Study Program in Nature and Environmental Protection
The study program can be enrolled by university bachelors holding a degree in natural, interdisciplinary, biotechnical and biomedical sciences. The study program lasts for 4 semesters (2 years), and upon completion of the study, students are awarded the academic degree of Master of Nature and Environmental Protection.
Masters of nature and environmental protection are trained to perform complex tasks in organizations dealing with protected natural objects, in state, county and city administration offices, including advisory services and inspections. They can also work as professional associates and managers in scientific institutions focused on nature and environmental protection, teaching and education in vocational secondary and related schools, they can devise and implement feasibility studies with reference to assessing the acceptability of interventions on the ecological network, on environment and nature, as well as perform risk assessment studies for nature and environment protection.
