In the period from March 18th to 22nd 2024, Helena Vincek, a third-year undergraduate student in Biology and Daniel Kujundžić, a first-year graduate student in Biology and Chemistry, participated in short-term mobility as part of the Erasmus+ program called Blended Intensive Program – “Food and Health”. The mobility took place at the I.U.T De Béthune University in Bethune, a small town in the north of France. During the mobility, students attended lectures and group projects held in English. They talked about various topics from the biological and chemical aspects of food, industrial production, but also about topics from the fields of health and economics. As part of the program, students had an organized tour of an industrial food factory in the city of Arras, and they ended their mobility by presenting group projects to other colleagues and professors that they worked on during the week spent in Bethune. Except for students from France and Croatia, in this project also participated students and professors from Romania, Spain, Italy and Greece. During this week, the students had the opportunity to use their communication skills and abilities in English, meet new people, make friends and try something new and different, and they returned from the trip with only positive impressions and a desire for new adventures.
